A Note From Our General Manager
Well, at least for now, the state of ND remains open, so we are continuing to work openly at Southeast Water Users. We are wearing masks when doing inside work for home service orders, and being proactive in all of our travels. The office remains open to the public but we do ask that you please keep your social distance for the safety of our staff and you. Thank you as we all transition from this new territory.
The System-Wide Expansion is completed! The project finished up in the West Division this year with the last 20 or so people who have been patiently waiting for their water. It has been a long haul, but we have made it through all the construction without too many problems. If you have any issues with clean up or see water sitting where it shouldn't, please give the office a call at 701.242.7432. We cannot remedy situations if we don't know about them. Once a call has been received here, we will contact the appropriate people to fix the problem. Just have to thank all of you for helping out with easements and having patience while we get water to all the new consumers.
We also are continuing to "look" at automatic read meters. There are a number of options out there and we have decided to "try" 10 new meters that will be strategically placed to make sure that the path we choose is compatible with ALL the areas we serve. We now know that out of these 10 trial meters, only 5 of them are "readable" so we are back to the drawing board to look into different reading options available at an affordable price.
